Silver 60

Why not turn your lunch hour into a Silver 60 to raise money for The Silver Line? It’s not a lot of time to give up to make a difference to the life of a lonely or isolated older person.  In just 60 minutes you’ll be amazed at how much money you could raise and it’s also a great excuse to take a proper lunch break.  You might even set a challenge among your work colleagues or friends to see who can raise the most.

It doesn’t need to be complicated.  In fact as with a lot of fundraising, the simpler the better.

Ideas might include;

  • make lunch for your work colleagues or friends and ask for a donation
  • ring some local businesses to ask for raffle prizes and then hold a raffle
  • ask people to donate books/DVDs that they have finished using and others can take them for a donation
  • hold a quiz
  • share a skill – an instrument/knitting/photography/cake decorating
  • hold a Silver Snack or Bake Sale
  • hold a guess the baby photo competition with a donation for each entry

“My Silver 60 is making the morning tea for my office team of 12 people for a whole week.  Everyone is going to make a donation to The Silver Line!” Sharon.

What will you do for your Silver 60?  We would love to tell others and hopefully motivate them to to do their own, so do let us know.  Call Charlotte on 020 3793 9182 or email [email protected]
