Royal Parks Half

Date: 13th October 2019

Distance: 13.1 miles

Location: London

Registration Fee: £5

Fundraising Target: £300

This scenic half marathon takes on London in all its Autumnal glory! Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, this route takes in four of London’s Royal Parks and all on closed roads. During the 13.1-mile course you will pass historic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall on a flat route perfect for regular and first-time half marathon runners. This event organisers have announced their commitment to go plastic free on the course by 2020.

This year they have introduced two water stations with compostable cups and reduced the size of plastic water bottles from 330ml to 250ml. Runners will also receive a 500ml carton of water at the end of the race instead of a plastic bottle.

Through these changes, they are eliminating 100,000 plastic bottles from the course and festival area. To tie in with this sustainability plan, we are pleased to give a special reusable drinking bottle made from 100% recyclable plastic kindly donated by Buypromoproducts to every person who joins our 2019 team.

This is one of the UK’s most popular half marathons and to get a place all you have to do is agree to fundraise at least £300. The fundraising team will be on hand to help you all the way.  If you were successful in getting a place in the ballot, please make sure you also contact us so you can join #TeamSilverLine.
