Four days, three hundred miles, two capital cities. London to Paris is a cycling challenge favourite. C’est manifique!
This four day bike ride takes you through the beautiful Kent countryside to Dover, before crossing the Channel and continuing through the rolling, green fields of Northern France, passing the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme. The pièce de résistance of this cycle challenge is a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, which marks the finish line in the centre of this famous city.
Difficulty: Challenging. But achievable by anyone as long as you fitness train beforehand. Remember, you are cycling for four consecutive days, covering approximately 300 miles so expect to be in the saddle for about 7-8 hrs per day – the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy this challenge.
Along the way you’ll be pushed to the limit, make new friends and take in some stunning scenery, safe in the knowledge that your this challenge will help transform the lives of lonely and isolated older people.
