Corporate Volunteering

Why not become a Corporate Volunteering Partner?

We work with a variety of businesses of all sizes including banks, communications companies, law firms and care providers on volunteering programmes.

Here, an employee from our partner Saga describes how to become a volunteer Silver Line Friend and the difference she is making.

Volunteering meets the needs of employers:

“All The Silver Line requires is a 30 minute call per week that staff can do from their desks or their home. The feedback from staff is that they are finding it very rewarding. We highly recommend it!” Verity Taylor, Social Impact Executive

And employees: “I know that my lady Jean looks forward to me calling her and I also look forward to our chats.  The dedicated half an hour literally flies by and we have a good old gossip putting the world to rights! The Silver Line get 10/10 for matching us and I even make a point of calling Jean on a day off, as you only need the internet to make the secure call.” – Janet, Mishcon de Reya volunteer

Could your company become a volunteering partner?

All employees need is:

  • Access to the internet
  • A direct inward dial (i.e. a direct line number on which staff can receive calls)
  • A commitment of 30 minutes at the same time each week
