Fiona Phillips: a taste of loneliness

Britain is in the grip of an epidemic of loneliness. But how many people living busy lives – especially at Christmas – can really understand and empathise with what it feels like to live truly alone?

Our corporate partner Saga, took broadcaster and journalist Fiona Phillips out of her full, family life and into isolation for a few days – no phone, no computer – to raise awareness of the problem. Fiona kept a diary for the full week, which you can read here.

Fiona also recently appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss her experience and to talk about the work of The Silver Line.
